Communiqué from the Royal Club of Gentlemen-Riders and Cavalieres of Belgium

At the 62nd General Assembly of the International Federation of Gentlemen Riders and Cavaliers held in Ghent on March 18th, Elie Hennau, representing Belgium, was elected to the Presidency.Elie will be the second Belgian after Thierry Lohest (2004 to 2006) to have the honor of presiding over the Fegentri which now comprises 25 countries.Coming from a large family of breeders, owners and racing leaders, Elie whose father was a coach, was an excellent gentleman-rider.He won three gold rides, won 95 wins, including some prestigious at the Fegentri world championships in which he participated several seasons of rank.While pursuing a brilliant professional career, he has always managed to dedicate time to the institution of racing as a commissioner in Belgium and France, and as a member of the Jockey Club Executive Committee.
